Welcome to PLAY Childcare + Kinder

PLAY Childcare & Kinder at Bayswater in Melbourne offers local families a holistic and nature-based early learning and Kindergarten experience that cherishes the precious time that is the early years.

Owned and operated by three families (with nine children between them) PLAY sits atop the Mountain High Shopping Centre and provides a natural and open-air haven in the heart of Bayswater.

Open 7am to 6pm all year, we offer care to all children 6 weeks to 6 years old. Spread across 2 levels, our youngest babies are downstairs in our warm, nurturing, purpose built nursery spaces. Our older children enjoy the upper level with its amazing rooftop outdoor space, with loads of room to run, explore, learn and PLAY.

Our Rooms at PLAY

Nursery Rooms

For our littlest people up to around 2 years, at PLAY Childcare and Kinder we provide a loving and peaceful space where they can explore their emerging physical and cognitive abilities. We provide nappies, wipes and meals so parents don’t need to provide anything.

Toddler Rooms

With an emphasis on playful learning experiences, our educators will create opportunities to foster our energetic Toddlers budding creativity, curiosity and independence as they explore the world around them - and their unique place in it.

Kindergartens

Meaningful play is the name of the game in our Kindergarten as we prepare our older explorers for school and an ever-evolving world! We'll work collaboratively with families to ensure children feel confident and excited to transition to Primary School when the time is right.
